gentlehomes began with a single, life-changing moment—the birth of my daughter. Standing amidst the towering cedars of Vancouver Island, I set out to build a home that reflected not just our needs but the values we hold close: connection, simplicity, and harmony with the natural world.
With a Master’s degree in Architecture and years of experience working in various architectural firms across Canadian cities—including Ottawa, Montreal, and Victoria—I thought I had a firm grasp of the process. But what I didn’t expect was how much this journey would teach me—not just about building a home but about creating a life.
